چکیده
Prostate cancer represents the second most common diagnosed in men and fifth cause of death from worldwide. In this paper, we consider a nonlinear mathematical model exploring role neuroendocrine transdifferentiation human prostate cell dynamics. Sufficient conditions are given for both biological relevance model’s solutions existence its equilibria. By means suitable Liapunov functional global asymptotic stability tumour-free equilibrium is proven, through use sensitivity bifurcation analyses identify parameters responsible occurrence Hopf saddle-node bifurcations. Numerical simulations provided highlighting behaviour discovered, results discussed together with possible improvements to model.

Neuroendocrine Transdifferentiation in Human Prostate Cancer Cells: An Integrated Approach.
Prostate cancer is highly sensitive to hormone therapy because androgens are essential for prostate cancer cell growth. However, with the nearly invariable progression of this disease to androgen independence, endocrine therapy ultimately fails to control prostate cancer in most patients. Androgen-independent acquisition may involve neuroendocrine transdifferentiation, but there is little knowl...

Introduction: The nerve fibers in central nervous system are surrounded by myelin sheet which is formed by oligodendrocytes. Cell therapy based on oligodendrocytes and their precursors transplantation can hold a promising alternative treatment for myelin sheet repair in demyelinating diseases. Methods: Human Dental Pulp Stem Cells (hDPSCs) are noninvasive, autologous and easy available s...

Neuroendocrine (NE) cells represent a minor cell population in the epithelial compartment of normal prostate glands and may play a role in regulating the growth and differentiation of normal prostate epithelia. In prostate tumor lesions, the population of NE-like cells, i.e., cells exhibiting NE phenotypes and expressing NE markers, is increased that correlates with tumor progression, poor prog...
متن کاملNeuroendocrine transdifferentiation of prostate carcinoma cells and its prognostic significance.
Neuroendocrine (NE) cells are a distinct epithelial cell compartment of the normal human prostate gland. Their phenotype and range of endocrine secretion products are similar, but not identical to those of NE-like cells from prostate carcinoma. Neuroendocrine differentiation (NED) is a feature commonly seen in prostate carcinoma and a number of studies pointed out that its extent is associated ...

Androgen ablation therapy is widely used for the treatment of advanced prostate cancer. However, the effectiveness of this intervention strategy is generally short-lived as the disease ultimately progresses to a hormone-refractory state. In recent years, it has become clear that even in antiandrogen-resistant cancers the androgen receptor (AR) signaling axis is intact and is required for prosta...
